Highbridge Live music event – with Open Mic.
Sunday 9th June 12:00pm – 7:00pm. Variety of music and stalls in Market Street, Highbridge. Acts include Strum and Bass, Lady Garden, Jem, Ryan Cross, Bristol String Quartet and Matuki. Our Highbridge is partnering with Seed Sedgemoor in bringing this successful event to Highbridge. The event starts with an Open Mic at 12:00pm – bring your style and music, all welcome beginners to professional.

Brent Knoll Fête is on Saturday 8th June, on the Village Green from 2:00pm, with all the normal traditional stalls, games and entertainment.

For clothing, furnishings, small electricals and other portable domestic items, including toys…anything portable, bring it to along to our willing band of volunteers. No charge, but donations welcome.

Celebration of D-Day. Tea and Talk (Sing Along). 6th June, 2:30pm at West Huntspill Hub TA93RN. Sing along with David Hill, to commemorate 80 years of the D-Day Landings in Normandy, the turning point of the Second World War. Remember some of the war time songs. Come and join in, £4 entry.

Artists, from Jean Cocteau to Salvador Dali, or from Cecil Beaton to Andy Warhol, have always played an important role in the development of fashion: all have featured in the pages of Vogue. Curator and lecturer Connie Gray will delve into the archives of the famous fashion magazine to explore how trends are set. The TASS lecture will be held at the 37 Club, Woolavington at 2:00pm on Wednesday 5th June.

Eco Festival in Apex Park on 1st June from 1:00pm – 4:00pm 

The festival will be opened by Charlie Taylor from BBC Radio Somerset, and will have many stalls, plus opportunities for children to go pond dipping, try fishing and go on a Gruffalo Hunt! Do come and join us! It is all free!

Burnham-on-Sea Art Club Annual Exhibition / Sale of work 2024. Saturday 25th May – Friday 31st May. Open 10:00am – 5:00pm at the Community Centre, 5 Berrow Road, Burnham-on-Sea, (by the swimming pool). A warm welcome awaits you to view exhibits from 20 local artists in various media, and a variety of subjects.

Learn to bowl and get fit at Mark Moor Bowling Club! Our second Open Day is on Friday 24th May 2:00pm – 7:00pm. Just wear trainers and have a go at bowling at our small friendly club next to Mark Village Hall (booking not necessary).

May 25th and 26th. Learn all about British wildlife and conservation in the Somerset countryside. Enjoy a series of talks, nature trails, educational and craft activities, plus a wide selection of local artist and charity stalls. Taking place at Secret World Wildlife Rescue in East Huntspill. Day tickets are £5, free entry for under 5s. 10:00am till 4:00pm both days.
